Margosa has a further three granted Project areas at Bopitiya (EL/255), Dehiowita (EL/319), Yattawatura (EL/271), and has recently applied for licences at Avissawella, Kukulugala and Gaballa. These areas have mapped clusters of significant historical workings and are located within major litho-structural corridors from which more than 90% of Sri Lanka’s previous and current graphite has been mined. All Projects areas are located within a roughly 60km radius of Colombo.
